Now that this has been posted for about a day and a half, and notices have been sent out about it I'm going to ask for comments and feedback. This is just one of a series of articles I had planned which brings aspects of small animal internal medicine to owners, something veterinarians generally don't do, so I really would appreciate knowing if this is a viable idea or not. Some of the things I'm looking for are:
Was it understandable or too complicated?
Is this information useful or not?
Do you realistically think you'd ever use this information at home?
Is the explanation of the science behind it clear or confusing?
After reading this, do you think you can now do this test or does it seem too complicated? Thanks in advance.

The info was easy to understand and I feel like I could read the refractometer without any problem!
I liked the info. Didn't know I needed lens wipes. When I get those, I'm going to give it a try.
I think the information is useful and can use it. I don’t find it intimidating. Disclaimer I’m used to reading technical writings so I’m probably not the best judge of if the general public would find this too much to understand. I always appreciate an explanation but that’s just me, personally. I do not find it too complex but defer to others so it is accessible to everyone. 👍🏻
