The BEST Thermometer for Dogs...

...(and other animals, including people).
At $219 this thermometer will probably be beyond most people's budget, but this is absolutely the best thermometer made in the world, especially for animals. It reads in seconds, has a waterproof probe, uses disposable probe covers, and can be used to monitor continuously, a feature necessary for dealing with shock, hyperthermia, etc. I just thought I'd mention this:
Welch Allyn 690 with rectal probe. Google it, also on Amazon.
Beyond my budget. But do have a couple of thermometers I use- at home and in first aid kit. Know what my dog's typically read at so can tell if it is higher or lower. Switch from auxiliary to rectal if I think there is an issue so it's more accurate. Think it would be worth it for most people to have a thermometer they are familiar with that they can use.
